Congratulations to our scholarship winner for the 2021-2022 Franchise.Law Entrepreneur Scholarship, Cash Wright!

No matter a person’s age or level of experience, anyone can become an entrepreneur. However, we believe one of the most essential measures of a successful entrepreneur is how much passion and enthusiasm they have behind an idea. Often, the best businesses grow and thrive from being rooted in this passion behind a single idea.

The attorneys at Franchise.Law value supporting entrepreneurs because they ARE entrepreneurs. Attorneys Jason Power and Jonathan Barber understand the amount of hard work and dedication it takes to own a business and stay on top of the latest industry trends.

Franchise.Law is proud to announce the Entrepreneur Scholarship, which is designed to support aspiring and future entrepreneurs. This scholarship allows students to explore why they are passionate about becoming an entrepreneur. Students will be asked to come up with an idea for a business and share how they would stay on top of that specific industry’s trends. The student who best expresses their business details and ideas will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA

The scholarship is open to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are either high school graduates or in possession of a GED. All applicants must be in good academic standing, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

To apply, please provide the following:

  • A resume that includes up-to-date contact information, relevant education, professional and volunteer experience.
  • A 750-1000 word essay on why you are passionate about becoming an entrepreneur. Share details of what business you would create, how you would run it, and how you would stay on top of trends in the industry.
  • A current unofficial transcript from the applicant’s school. First-year college students may submit an unofficial transcript from their most recent school, as well as an unofficial transcript from their current post-secondary institution.

Please note that applicants located in and around North Carolina may receive higher consideration when selecting a winner. The winner of the Franchise.Law Entrepreneur Scholarship will be announced in July of 2023.
